« To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso's death, FIMTE is holding its 15th international symposium jointly with the University of Melbourne (12-14 October 2023 at the Parador of Mojácar, Almería, Andalusia, and 13-14 October 2023 at the University of Melbourne) as part of the 24th International Festival of Spanish Keyboard Music. The festival will feature concerts, expert lectures, and workshops.

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was a witness and frontline actor of the music currents developing in Barcelona, Paris, and other sites prior to World War II. Thissymposium will explore the mutual influences between the Visual arts (particularly in the orbit of Picasso) and Music, and how aspects of musical modernity emerged through the negotiation of different cultural, technical and stylistic parameters. »
