Appel de conférences pour le colloque « Musicking. Culturally Informed Performance Practices », University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, 18-23 avril 2022.
«The Musicking committee welcomes proposals addressing all aspects of musicological research and performance practice studies relevant to Bologna, Naples, and their surrounding areas, not only from a purely historical point of view, but also from a broader cultural perspective. Applicants are encouraged to blur the academic distinctions of musicology, ethnomusicology, music theory, education, modern performance practices, historical performance practices, and other academic fields, and consider their topic through a lens of musicking, in all its possible facets. Especially welcome are presentations and performances that address socio-cultural factors such as race, gender, sexuality, and class, as well as those that feature the music or musical practices of under-represented populations. The Musicking committee also invites proposals for lecture performances. This year, the Musicking committee will grant one lecture-performance applicant an award of up to $1000 to assist in travel and lodging costs.»
