Appel de conférences pour le colloque « SICAM 2024. Analytical Perspectives on Music from Ibero-America », Université de Valladolid, Espagne, 20-22 juin 2024.
« The working committee “Music Analysis: sounds, (con)texts, cultures”, of the Spanish Society of Musicology, was established in 2021 with the aim of building a space for dialogue among the community of researchers dedicated to the development of a music analysis conception attentive to surpassing solely formalistic approaches. A renewed perspective on structuralist methodological procedures, while also bridging towards aesthetics, the study of musical signification, the research on performance, or the examination of production, interpretation, and consumption dynamics, form today the guidelines that challenge music analysis as a discipline. After the success of the first edition (Oviedo, 2022), in this second in-person edition, the aim is to continue along the path initiated there, focusing on Ibero-American repertoires or on methodological orientations. These are the conference thematic lines:
1. Semiotics, hermeneutics, topoï, schemata
2. Transtextuality and hybridization
3. Poststructuralism, cultural studies and new materialisms
4. Mathematical procedures applied to music analysis
5. New technologies, music production and sound studies
6. Performative and multimodal analysis
7. Theory and Aesthetics from 21st-century music analysis
8. Music analysis, perception and cognition »
