« The Dutch-Flemish Society for Music Theory, in collaboration with the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, is pleased to announce an international conference where the focus will lie on themes that can be considered as ‘off the beaten track’ in the field of music theory. This can include historical, theoretical and/or analytical approaches to diverse repertoires, styles, genres, educational aspects, and performance practices. Other perspectives are also welcome. The Society feels it will be interesting and important to explore topics and approaches that may not be considered as ‘common practice’. »
