Appel à contributions pour le vol. 25 (2021) de Women & Music. A Journal of Gender and Culture.

Women & Music. A Journal of Gender and Culture invites the submission of short compositions to be considered for publication in volume 25 (2021).

Submitted works should be composed by persons who identify as female, or the composition should deal directly with topics of gender or sexuality. Previously unpublished new works and transcriptions or editions of historical material are both welcome. Submissions may not exceed five pages.

Please send a camera-ready copy to the Managing Editor of Women & Music, Evangeline Athanasiou at eathanasiou-at-gradcenter.cuny.edu.

Please bear in mind that the print area of the journal is 7.5 x 4.5 inches. Submissions will be peer-reviewed.

Women & Music is particularly interested in work that provides a critical perspective on music and sound, and in work that considers the role of gender, sexuality, race, citizenship, class, or other cultural and social factors in the production, circulation, or consumption of music.
