Financement – Yale University Institute of Sacred Music Fellowships – 15 octobre 2021

Appel à candidatures pour les Yale University Institute of Sacred Music Fellowships.

« The Yale Institute of Sacred Music, an interdisciplinary graduate center for the study and practice of sacred music, worship, and the related arts, invites applications for a post-doctoral associate position in Music and the Black Church. Alongside conducting their own research, the fellow assigned to the Institute’s interdisciplinary program in Music and the Black Church would be expected to contribute to this new initiative pedagogically, programmatically, and administratively, delivering one course and one symposium during each academic year, along with some student advising, participation in ISM academic gatherings, and other service. Implicit in the program’s title in an interest in various configurations of the relationship between music and the Black church: the genres of music most frequently performed by black Christian congregations, as well as the influence of the Black church on a host of idioms—confessional and commercial, American and global. »

Date limite de soumission : 15 octobre 2021.
