Appel à candidatures pour le AMS-PMSG Award for Best Essay in Popular Music Scholarship, du Popular Music Study Group of the American Musicological Society.

« The Popular Music Study Group of the American Musicological Society (AMS-PMSG) invites nominations for its fifth annual Award for the Best Essay in Popular Music Scholarship. This award recognizes the exceptional merit of a scholarly work on popular music published in a scholarly journal or within an edited collection published by an academic press. The award is not limited to members of the PMSG, but the nomination must come from either a group member in good standing or from the editor of the book/journal. We encourage self-nominations.

The nominating person must submit a short endorsement of the work describing its significance and include the particulars of its publication: author, title, press/venue, and date. Please also include a link to and/or PDF attachment of the work. Any essay with a copyright year of 2020 is eligible for consideration. »

The award will be announced at the AMS-PMSG business meeting during the 2021 AMS conference in Chicago. »
