Appel de conférences de la Society for Christian Scholarship pour sa rencontre annuelle sur le thème « The Choir and the Community », Nashville, TN, 13-15 mars 2025.

We want to invite special topic papers, panels, poster boards, or lecture-recitals on the chosen theme. Here are a few ideas: the ways in which liturgy or corporate song relates to the life of the congregation; the ways that corporate song engages or fails to engage with issues in and needs of society at large; ways in which choir provides or fails to provide opportunities for an experience of community; the role of singing in social life or social movements at different places and times; how the musical materials in choral song relate to the musical materials at work in the larger community; and so on.
