Appel de conférences pour le colloque interdisciplinaire « Women in Music », Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY, 9 mars 2024.

« We invite proposals for research papers and other formats (see below) on any topic related to women in music. In addition to analysis of works by women, we also invite presentations engaging with themes such as intersections with play, science, technology, politics, pedagogy, performance practice (for example, all-women performing groups), and canonicity, although any topic featuring women in music will be considered.

The day-long event will include a keynote presentation by Roger Moseley (Cornell University), author of Keys to Play: Music as a Ludic Medium from Apollo to Nintendo, and a live performance by pianist Kristin Ditlow (University of New Mexico), whose recent album Passages, features her arrangements of opera and song selections. »
