Appel de conférences pour le 9e colloque « Musicking. Culturally Informed Performance Practices » portant sur le thème « Resurgent Voices », University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, 9-12 avril 2024.
« The Musicking committee welcomes proposals addressing all aspects of musicological research and performance practice studies (from the Middle Ages to today) relevant to the theme, “Resurgent Voices,” not only from a purely historical point of view, but also from a broader cultural perspective. Applicants are encouraged to blur the academic distinctions of musicology, ethnomusicology, music theory, education, modern performance practices, historical performance practices, and other academic fields, and consider their topic through a lens of musicking, in all its possible facets. Especially welcome are presentations and performances that address socio-cultural factors such as race, gender, sexuality, and class, as well as those that feature the music or musical practices of under-represented populations. »
