« The Society for Seventeenth-Century Music will hold its Thirty-Second Annual Conference from Thursday through Sunday, April 4–7, 2024, in Princeton, NJ, hosted by the Music Department of Princeton University. Proposals on all aspects of seventeenth-century music and its cultural contexts are welcome. This year, we particularly welcome proposals on music and dance, in accordance with the research interests of Irene Alm and Barbara Sparti, to whom the 2024 conference is dedicated. Presentations may take a variety of formats, including individual papers (20 minutes in length), lecture-recitals (45 minutes), workshops on issues of diversity and inclusion, workshops involving group participation, roundtable discussions, and panel sessions; 20-minute papers and 10-minute lightning talks will be considered for a special session on current topics of research in music and dance. »
