Appel à contributions pour le projet de publication The Wind Music Companion de la International Society for Research and Promotion of Wind Music (IGEB).

« The Wind Music Companion, written by leading experts, will be an edition in two volumes edited by Oxford University Press (if the project is successfully proposed and contracted). It will offer accessible studies about historical, instrumental, ethnological, sociological and pedagogical topics. Professors, musicologists, students, conductors and amateurs have noticed that many catalogues, books and articles in English and German cover many areas (composers, repertoire, instruments, country and region, period, instrumentation, specific band bands, etc.). A general publication on scholarly researched about wind music are missing, sometimes incomplete and several decades old. The Wind Music Companion is not intended to replace reference books but this publication updates and completes the information. The planned volumes will cover the various aspects of wind music and introduce new social, aesthetical and pedagogical aspects. The volumes will be written in English, containing approx. 450 pages with photos, illustrations, tables and musical examples. »
