« Objectives and Themes: The program committee invites papers and panels on every possible facet of the electric guitar in American culture: popular, vernacular, and cultivated musics; technology, material culture, social geography; commerce, design, marketing; semiotics, organology, reception and/or performance studies, music and gender, and wider topics.
