« The Brazilian Society for Music Theory and Analysis (TeMA) is now receiving proposals for paper presentations at TeMA’s IV Biennial Meeting […]. With the theme “Music Theory in Latin America: Inheritances and Perspectives”, we seek to reflect on the past, present, and future of music theory and analysis in Latin America. We encourage proposals that address the conference’s theme from a wide range of perspectives (e.g., reception and impact of European and North-American theoretical and analytical approaches, music theory pedagogy and history in our region, and analytical approaches to our repertoires, including popular and classical music). Apart from proposals addressing the conference’s theme specifically, we encourage submissions related to any topic within the field of music theory and analysis. »
